'Game On' by Discipline begins to play as the words 'NLW' flash across the screen, followed by images of the last Uprising, where Archangel won his debut match against Sam Lampshade and Drake Hazard, who left during the match. Aphrodisia took down Kylo in a Big Easy Brawl and Josh Allen defeated Kevin Heat. The night ended with Aphrodisia Jordan earning the right to face The Phoenix for the NLW Championship! After interference by Kevin Heat is stopped by Draco, Aphrodisia is able to top The Phoenix and capture the NLW Championship, vacating the Legacy Championship in the process. The scene cuts to ringside, with Jake Steel and Caelan Tyler. Caelan Tyler: Hello and welcome to Uprising! It's going to be an interesting show tonight, with a wide variety of matches. We have Harvey Danger making his NLW in-ring debut against Sam Lampshade, Street Shark making his in-ring debut against Archangel, the newly crowned NLW Champion Aphrodisia Jordan taking on Josh Allen in a non-title bout plus... Jake Steel: ABUSE!!! Caelan Tyler: ...Um, yeah, we have two qualifying matches to determine who will face off for the NLW Legacy Championship next Uprising, with newcomer Brad Jackson taking on Draco and Cade McCaffrey taking on The Phoenix. To caps things off we got The Black Phoenix challenging The Ice Man for the Anarchy X Championship in a straitjacket match! Jake Steel: This is going to be a kick ass show! Backstage, Harvey Danger looks around, trying to find someone, anyone, who cares about what he has to say. So far he's had no takers. Harvey Danger: Hey, anyone here in charge of the website? ANYONE?! Come on, I want to know why they spelled my name wrong on the site... ????: Hello Harvey. Startled that someone walked up behind him, Harvey jumps a bit, turning around and coming face to face with Joan Sullivan, who is looking at a clipboard. Joan Sullivan: What's the problem? Harvey Danger: Well, um, they misspelled my name on the website! Joan Sullivan: ...And? Harvey Danger: ...And I...I'd like for it to be correct next time, that's all... Joan Sullivan: Harvey Harvey, don't worry about that, worry about your match, you're up. Harvey Danger: Huh? You're putting me on first?! Joan Sullivan: Yes. Go. NOW. The beginning on 'No Rain' by Blind Melon can start to be heard as Harvey makes a dash to the ring, leaving Joan shaking her head. Jake Steel: Damn that guy. Caelan Tyler: What's wrong with Harvey? Jake Steel: EVERYTHING! Harvey Danger versus Sam Lampshade The match starts off slowly, with Harvey gaining control early while the crowd goes to get refreshments. Most get back in time to see Harvey deliver a series of chops to Lampshade. Another few minutes of action follows, with Lampshade getting in control and going for a high risk move, which Harvey is able to turn into a Danger DDT for the three count. Jake Steel: Well that was a bit of a snoozer. Caelan Tyler: Harvey tried his best, but Lampshade didn't seem ready at all for the big times. Jake Steel: Nope. Needs more personality. Caelan Tyler: Hopefully Lampshade will be able to pull it together at some point. The backstage is a cluttered mess of wrestlers, equipment, and employees. The halls filled with large trunks and lighting equipment making a narrow walkway for anyone trying to get from Point A to Point B. In the midst of all the clutter is the door to Joan Sullivan’s office, sitting owner of NLW. A few seconds go bye and the clack of heels against the concrete floor can be heard above all the hustle and bustle, and then Joan comes into view. Once she makes it to her office door, she stops and takes a deep breath before opening it. With a loud exhale and a twist of the nod, she enters her room, where a large bald gentleman is sitting. His black suit seems to be shining off the lights in her office, his head giving off the same glare. Joan doesn’t seem surprised to see him, and he doesn’t even raise his head to acknowledge that she has entered the room. Joan walks around him and her desk and sits down in her executive chair, the scene fixed on the back of the man’s head and her upper torso. Joan Sullivan: So, have you thought about the offer? Man: I have, but it's not as much as I'm used to making, ya know.. Joan Sullivan: Well unlike some other places I like to see my employees taken care of. Man: Yeah well, what happens when the real boss is back? Joan Sullivan: He's not going to object. Not if he knows what's good for him anyways. Man: That's very true. But let's not skirt around the point. You know I don't have a lot of options, and I know that too. I'll be damned if I go back to that shithole, and I won't let you or Jack force me into that situation. Joan Sullivan: Have you actually looked around the backstage area? Jack takes in people from that place like Angelina takes in orphans. Man: Yeah, that's great. He's a savior obviously... The man shakes his head, obviously annoyed. Man: I don't know how much you know about.. Well anything. But I don't exactly have a history of getting along with management. Joan Sullivan: ...Again, have you looked backstage? I have no idea why but Jack has a history of extending contracts to people he doesn't get along with. Me, I don't intend on getting dragged into anything. I'll let him settle my problems. As if on cue, the door opens and the tattooed form of EJ Slayer walks in, moving behind Joan. Man: Who the fuck are you? EJ Slayer: Me? I'm here just to keep the monkeys off her back, and you don't strike me as a chimp so I don't expect any problems. The man turns his attention from EJ and looks back at Joan, tilting his head, as if silently questioning EJ's presence. Man: What's the matter sweetie, do I make you uncomfortable? Are you intimidated? Are you even sure you can handle this job? The man slaps his hands on the desk and stands up, leaning in towards Joan. Man: Don't get in over your head. Joan Sullivan: I'm more than capable of handling myself thank you, but when you have someone like him under contract, why would you bother? Sitting back down, the man chuckles. Man: Right. How about we get this over with? Let me sign my contract and get the fuck out of here, will ya? She slides the contract across the desk to him. Joan Sullivan: That's what I've been waiting for. The man reaches into his pocket and pulls out a pen, not just any pen, an expensive pen, the kind of pen that not just anyone has. After he signs the contract, he lays the pen on top of the contract and slides it back. Man: Give the pen to your pony boy... He can pawn it since you obviously don't pay him enough to dress the part of body guard. With that, the man gets up and turns to leave. Man: I'll expect my signing bonus by tomorrow morning. Joan Sullivan: Duly noted. Caelan Tyler: I wonder who she signed... Jake Steel: Better be someone worth it, we don't need anymore Sam Lampshades. The Phoenix versus Cade McCaffrey The match quickly becomes a technical showcase, with Phoenix and Cade going hold for hold before Cade takes control with a variety of MMA style strikes. Cade continues to use these strikes to keep Phoenix off-guard until The Phoenix is able to use his power and size to knock Cade off of her game. The Phoenix eventually plants Cade with The Immolation, and Cade lands right on her neck, going limp immediately. The Phoenix covers her with a quick pin, and the referee immediately calls for an EMT, and a stretcher is brought out as The Phoenix looks on. Caelan Tyler: Cade could be seriously injured here Jake. Jake Steel: Damn, I liked her, she was a firecracker. Caelan Tyler: ...A firecracker Jake? Jack Steel: You know, a... Who the hell?! WHAM! A chair is brought down across The Phoenix's head by the man who was in Joan's office earlier. The EMTs scatter as the man removes his jacket, throwing it to the side before bringing the chair down on the side of The Phoenix. The man quickly drops down, locking on a crossface on Phoenix, pulling on the hold while security hits the ring, trying to get the man out. The man releases the hold, grabbing his jacket and shouting insults at the Phoenix as he is escorted to the back. Caelan Tyler: I recognize him now, that's Vincent Kane! Jake Steel: Really? I thought he retired. Caelan Tyler: Apparently not, looks like he's signed a contract with NLW though. Jake Steel: The Phoenix has definitely been put on notice. Caelan Tyler: Hopefully it won't effect The Phoenix's chances next Uprising when he challenges for the Legacy Championship. The camera fades in on a locker room door's name tag. It reads Draco across it. The image slowly pans outward, revealing words written cursively above the name in purple Sharpie. Caelan Tyler: Well that's... Odd. Jake Steel: Odd? In NLW? What else is new? Caelan Tyler: ...I suppose that's nothing out of the ordinary... Street Shark versus Archangel
'Duality' by Slipknot begins to play, the lights dropping low until the main part of the song hits. Spotlights shine down onto the center of the stage, where Archangel stands, head high, staring into the lights. He slowly looks away, before marching down to the ring and sliding under the ropes. Caelan Tyler: True, and no one has seen him since. Jake Steel: He has forsaken us, like Titan 3 and Triple M before him... Caelan Tyler: ... The Guitars start and Def Leppard's Animal hits, The crowd go absolutely nuts as the massive Street Shark appears! He stands at the top of the ramp, saluting the fans with his trademark rock hand gesture and runs to the ring. He walks to the far turnbuckle and jumps up, once again saluting the fans. He jumps down, removes his long coat and prepares for action! Jake Steel: Bah! Caelan Tyler: What? Not a fan of the Shark? Jake Steel: First Murray, now him. It's a damn Scottish invasion! Caelan Tyler: There are worse things in life Jake. Jake Steel: I highly doubt that! Jake Steel: Gee, you think Caelan? Caelan Tyler: Well both are towering presences who prefer to use their fists so yes, I do believe that Jake. Jake Steel: Sometimes I wonder... Caelan Tyler: Now you know how I feel. Jake Steel: That Shark's bite gotten dull. Caelan Tyler: That was bad, even for you. Jake Steel: Nu'uh! Caelan Tyler: ...Riiiiiight... Jake Steel: Come on, just let him pin you then go back to retirement! Caelan Tyler: Somehow I don't think that’s on the Shark's agenda. Jake Steel: People need agendas that match mine. Jake Steel: Come on, needs more violence! Caelan Tyler: Their brawling isn't good enough for you Jake? Jake Steel: If there's no blood it doesn't count. Jake Steel: Like what, sucking out loud? Jake Steel: Finally, maybe now it'll get bloody. Caelan Tyler: It's been a good match so far Jake, lots of give and take action. Jake Steel: Again, no blood no count! Jake Steel: Okay, no. Caelan Tyler: What? Jake Steel: You are calling this match terribly. Caelan Tyler: Oh, like you could do better. Jake Steel: Watch me~! Caelan Tyler: That wasn't any better than mine... Jake Steel: Reggie Savage never used an elbow drop you liar! Caelan Tyler: ...not who I meant. Jake Steel: NOOO! Now how will this match ever end? Caelan Tyler: I'm sure the ref will eventually come to Jake. Jake Steel: Key word being 'eventually'. Jake Steel: WHOO FINALLY! SOME VIOLENCE! Caelan Tyler: Um Jake, have we been watching the same match? Jake Steel: No actually I've been playing NLW the video game on my monitor this whole time. I'm so close to unlocking Titan 3. Caelan Tyler: ... Jake Steel: YES! WHOO! Caelan Tyler: I know Jake, this match is getting exciting! Jake Steel: No not that, I just unlocked Titan 3! WHOO! Caelan Tyler: ... 3! Caelan Tyler: Archangel pulled it out here, but you gotta hand it to Street Shark, he looked impressive out there. Jake Steel: Impressive in LOSING! Caelan Tyler: Like you could hang 2 minutes with Archangel. Jake Steel: Psh, not my job to lose. We cut to the locker room where we see the Ice Man sitting on a bench, deep in thought. After a few moments he picks his bag up from the floor and starts to place it in a locker when his phone rings. Ice opens the zipper and digs through the bag finally finding his phone. He opens it and puts it to his ear. The Ice Man: Hello?.. Yes this is him... How do I feel about the situation? Well, I'm happy that I've been proven innocent, but the bastard who kidnapped my nephew and me is still out there somewhere... Matt and James are safe. Look, I don't have time for this right now I have a match to get ready for. If you want an interview contact me after my match, although I don't really have anything more to say on the matter. The Ice Man hangs up the phone and slips it back in his back. After placing the bag in the locker he shuts it and sits back down. Suddenly we hear something hit the ground and the sound of the locker room door closing. Ice swings around and sees his cousin Matt's cane on the floor, broken in half. He stands up and nervously looks around the room for signs that he is not alone. After making sure he is alone Ice cautiously opens the door and, finding nobody outside the door, begins making his way down the hallway. Caelan Tyler: Well that has to be unsettling with all that's happened to Ice Man. Jake Steel: He better forget about that quick if he wants to hang against Black Phoenix tonight. Caelan Tyler: Hate to agree with you but you're right there. Brad Jackson versus Draco The lights dim, heavy mist filling the ramp as strobe lights begin to pulse slowly. A steady bass throb begins, growing in volume, sounding much like a heartbeat. A single gunshot shatters the silence, followed by mocking laughter and Jackson's voice hurling insults before the music skips, and then the sounds of 'Lies' by Evanescence filters through the speakers. Dark red strobes pulsate on the entranceway, and a dark figure moves among them, stepping forward as indigo fountains of pyrotechnic spark either side of him. He strides forwards, ignoring the crowd reaction. He circles the ring once, his eyes steady, a look of angry concentration on his face, before ascending the ring steps and climbing between the ropes. Jackson stands in the middle of the ring, his head thrown back in a triumphant roar as the music comes to a grinding halt, cut off with a squeal of feedback. Zach King: The following match is a qualifier match for the Legacy Championship and his scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Chicago, Illinois... Weighing in at 277 pounds... BRAD JACKSON! Caelan Tyler: There's Brad Jackson, who's making his debut here in NLW and even has a chance at securing himself a shot at some gold in his very first match here. Jake Steel: Needs more violence. Caelan Tyler: I doubt that will be a problem, if what I've heard about this guy is true, he's as violent as they come in the ring. Jake Steel: He better be or I'm going to sue for false advertising. The lights in the arena are turned up. Turning into bright whites spots leaving the audience blinded. The lights surrounding the entranceway are doing the same, but instead of bright white they are an intense red shade. The screen comes to life with static as the PA system plays a low hum, almost like a feedback noise. The noise continues on and on. Finally, the screen flickers to life. A solid black screen with one word. The word looks to be written in puddles of blood. ...Suffer... A high pitched distorted guitar starts to play over the low hum. Playing droning notes. Again and again. Soon a bass and drums join in. All heavy, but the high pitched distorted guitar still playing over them all. The top of the screen shows blood starting to rain down the screen. Soon it covers the lettering and the whole screen is a blood red screen. Your words are a scalpel The image of blood still remains. Something seems to be coming closer from underneath the blood. Rising to the surface. An image of Draco holding a title above his head. His body bloodied and broken. Another clip shows Draco in much the same bloodied state holding the OWF World Title. The music starts to get harder as the two images start to flicker to life. The videos are grainy and look as if you are peering at them through a thin layer of blood. SUFFER! As the last two words are screamed through the PA a series of explosions rip from either side of the stage in a synchronized motion to the center in front of the entrance way. The explosions slowly getting bigger until the last. A figure is seen in the middle of the entrance as the explosion erupts. The man has his head down and his arms out hanging at his side. Thick clouds of smoke from the pyrotechnics hang in the air as the heavy rock music continues. Broken as I seem to be The smoke starts to clear and Draco is seen standing there with his head still down. The ash and soot covering his shoulders and face. He looks up towards the ring showing his icy blue eyes. His wrists taped as they normally are. His scarred chest is somewhat hard to look at, but his eyes remain focus. He starts to walk toward the ring with no showmanship, no act, nothing, but a mission in his head...to make his opponent suffer. ...suffer... A low whisper is heard through the rock music. Draco stands in front of the ring just staring at it. He slides into the ring as the PA sends a low roar, almost demonic speaking that one word. SUFFER! Draco stands in the ring as the lights start to fade back down to their normal non-blinding state. Draco stands there still half covered in the soot and char from the explosions of his entrance. The music slowly dies off as Draco stands ready for the bell. Zach King: And his opponent, from Whitesboro, New York... Weighing in at 204 pounds... 'THE HELLACIOUS ONE' DRACO! Caelan Tyler: This is Draco's first match officially under NLW contract as well, although he's been around for the past several shows. Jake Steel: Less talking more fighting! Caelan Tyler: You're likely to get your wish here Jake, I'm not expecting this to be a technical masterpiece... Caelan couldn't be more correct as the bell rings, and immediately Draco is on the attack, lunging for Jackson and connecting with a stiff forearm. A jumping knee strike staggers Jackson to the ropes, and Draco nails him with a European uppercut. Draco rears back for another one, but Jackson lowers his upper body and lifts Draco into the air, catapulting him over the top rope. Draco is able to land on the apron though, and grabs Jackson's head, dragging him down and dropping his throat across the top rope as Draco falls to ringside. Caelan Tyler: Quick start here by Draco, who's trying to make up for a bit of a size disadvantage by going quick to the offensive. Jake Steel: Whoo violence! Caelan Tyler: Good to see you're enjoying this match already Jake. Jake Steel: I could care less what happens, I just want to see someone get hurt. Caelan Tyler: ...Fair enough. Draco quickly slides back into the ring, nailing Jackson with a quick dropkick to keep him on the defensive. Draco follows it up with a few stiff chops, backing Jackson into the corner. Once there, Draco quickly climbs up the second turnbuckle, driving his fist into Jackson's head as the crowd starts keeping count. 1! 2! 3! 4! 5! 6! 7! 8! 9! 10! Draco drops down from the corner, looking over to the entrance ramp as if he expects something (or someone) to happen. Caelan Tyler:Draco started off on fire here, but he seems to have stopped for some reason.... Jake Steel: What the hell? Caelan Tyler: I'm just as confused as you are Jake. Jake Steel: I just wanted violence... Is a little carnage too much to ask for?! Caelan Tyler: I'm sure you'll see plenty of it before the night is through Jake, just a hunch... Jake Steel: Bah, as if your hunches ever pay off... Draco continues to scan the entrance for several more seconds before turning his attention back to Jackson, who's shaken the cobwebs and cuts Draco off with a knee. Jackson then wraps his arms around Draco's mid-section and tosses him across the ring with an overhead belly to belly suplex! Draco lands with a thud, and Jackson quickly continues the assault, dragging Draco to his feet and drilling him with a heavy right hand across the forehead. Jackson then firmly hooks Draco's head and rocks him with a DDT. Caelan Tyler: Well Draco lost focus and now it's costing him, as Jackson's firing off a very vicious assault here. Jake Steel: Jeez, looks like Draco picked the wrong damn time to zone. Caelan Tyler: No doubt. Jake Steel: Daaaamn, Jackson busted Draco right open! Sure enough, back in the ring blood is starting to drip down from the bandage that covers the wound Draco suffered at the hands of Black Phoenix, the bandage itself now soaked in blood. Seeing the blood, Jackson continues the assault, bringing an elbow down across Draco's head. Jackson goes for another, but Draco puts a stop to that with a thumb to the eye. Draco wipes his brow, staring at the blood that is now slick on his arm momentarily before exchanging punches with Jackson. Jackson manages to get the upper hand, again impacting the blood forehead of Draco with a haymaker. Jackson then hooks Draco, slamming him down with a brainbuster! Jackson quickly hooks the leg. 1... 2... No, Draco managed to get his shoulder up! Caelan Tyler: Jackson's having his way with Draco right now. Draco managed to stop the onslaught momentarily, but Jackson's right back on the attack! Not sure how much more punishment Draco can take bleeding as he is. Jake Steel: He's got a geyser on his forehead! Caelan Tyler: Thankfully he's got that bandage to slow down the bleeding, but it could get ugly quick. Jake Steel: You mean uglier. Caelan Tyler: I suppose this match has already turned ugly. Jake Steel: Well yeah, you're calling it. Caelan Tyler: ... Jackson grabs Draco by the hair, yanking him to his feet before connecting with another haymaker. Draco staggers back, wiping the blood from his brow as Jackson bounces himself off the ropes for momentum, charging towards Draco. Draco springs to life, catching Jackson right on the jaw with a superkick! Jackson is stopped dead in his tracks, and Draco staggers a bit before dropping down and covering Jackson. 1... 2... No, Jackson's shoulder is up! Caelan Tyler: Draco almost caught Jackson with a quick one there. Caelan Tyler: Well when you're bleeding all over the damn place I think you take what you can get. Caelan Tyler: More than likely yeah. Jake Steel: See, what Draco should do is try to bleed into Jackson's eyes to blind him. Caelan Tyler: ... Jake Steel: What? You gotta capitalize on injuries Caelan. Caelan Tyler: I don't think that's exactly what was meant when that saying was made... Draco quickly mounts Jackson, delivering rights to the bigger man's forehead before standing up, heading to the corner and climbing to the top turnbuckle. Jackson shakes his head before standing up, and as he stands Draco launches himself like a bullet, flipping over and jarring Jackson with a neckbreaker. Draco then puts the boots to Jackson for a moment before charging the ropes, leaping up and bouncing off the middle rope with a back flip. Much to Draco's chagrin, Jackson catches him mid-air and quickly powers him down with a powerslam! Caelan Tyler: Draco got in a quick offensive flurry there, but Jackson was able to cut it off when Draco decided to try another high risk move. Jake Steel: See, that's why I never tried to be high flying. Ground and pound, that was my motto. Caelan Tyler: That and you couldn't do a flip if your life depended on it. Jake Steel: Hey now, I'm plenty agile. Caelan Tyler: Yeah, and Tiger Sid was the best wrestler of all time. Jake Steel: Hey, he's gotten a bad rap after that steroid scandal. Caelan Tyler: I don't think he ever had a 'good' rap Jake. Jackson covers Draco for the pin. 1... 2... No, Jackson pulls Draco up, wanting to inflict more damage onto him. Jackson reaches down, applying a mandible claw type hold on Draco. The ref checks Draco to see if he's going to give up, but Draco shakes his head no. Jackson flashes a smirk to the crowd before lifting Draco up and hitting a chokeslam on him! Jackson leaves Draco lying, going over to the ropes and taunting the crowd. Draco quickly shakes the cobwebs and crawls behind Jackson, taking him down with an inside cradle! Draco quickly gets his legs up on the middle rope for leverage! 1... 2... 3! Just as the ref finishes the three count Jackson kicks out, a shocked look on his face as Draco quickly slides out of the ring, a smile on his face as he holds his forehead. Zach King: Here is your winner and the man advancing to the Legacy Championship match next Uprising... 'THE HELLACIOUS ONE' DRACO! Caelan Tyler: Draco just stole one here folks! Jake Steel: That's what happens when you get too cocky, you get burned. Caelan Tyler: And Jackson looks pissed. Indeed he does, as he shoves the ref and yells out in anger. Caelan Tyler: Looks like Draco will be facing The Phoenix next Uprising to determine the new Legacy Champion. That should be a good one. Jake Steel: I think Draco's more concerned about getting his stitches put back in, Jackson did a number on him.
The camera cuts backstage to the trainer's room. Sitting on the table, having his head examined for any signs of a concussion, is The Phoenix. It's the trainer we hear first as he shuts off his penlight. Caelan Tyler: The Phoenix looks pumped for next Uprising and his match with Draco. Jake Steel: He'll need to be, The Phoenix is wash-up who needs all the help he can get. Caelan Tyler: I think he's got as good a chance as anyone. Jake Steel: And that's where you fail. Aphrodisia Jordan versus Josh Allen Aphrodisia starts off quickly, putting the boots to Allen and quickly knocking him off-balance with a variety of aerial moves. Josh is able to counter with an aerial display of his own, and quickly uses his size and leverage to his advantage, taking Aphrodisia down with technical moves and a liberal dose of dirty tricks. Josh Allen continues the assault, but plants his knee wrong and falls to the mat, grasping his knee. Aphrodisia quickly capitalizes, putting the boots to his knee. She quickly follows it up with a Cat's Cradle and The French Kiss, pinning Josh Allen for the victory. After the match, two stagehands help Josh to the back, who's still favoring his knee. Caelan Tyler: Tough break for Josh Allen, who might now have a serious knee injury. Jake Steel: NOOO! I wanted to see him clean Murray's clock! Caelan Tyler: Might not happen now. Jake Steel: Why must the beautiful things in life be taken from me? Backstage, Joan Sullivan looks over some information on her ever-present clipboard as a stage manager walks over to her. Manager: You needed me Mrs. Sullivan? Joan Sullivan: Yes, two things. First, make sure that Jackson is suspended for the next show. Manager: I'll make sure they get on it. Joan Sullivan: Good. As the stage manager walks away, Josh Allen wanders over on crutches, a pissed off look on his face. Josh Allen: I can't believe this! Joan Sullivan: What? Josh Allen: My knee injury! I can't face Andy Murray like this! Joan Sullivan:...You know, you're right. That Equalizer match? Consider it cancelled. The crowd roars in disapproval upon this announcement. Josh Allen: That's...fair. I knew you'd be reasonable about this. Joan Sullivan: Of course. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some work to do. Joan walks away, leaving Josh Allen alone with a huge grin on his face. Caelan Tyler: This is huge! The Equalizer canceled? Heat getting a NLW Championship match?! Jake Steel: NO! I was looking forward to seeing Murray getting massacred! Caelan Tyler: ...Right... Aphrodisia walks back to her locker room, but stops when she finds a note on her door. Aphrodisia Jordan: What the hell...? Sincerely KH'. ...This can't be good. Aphrodisia pushing the dressing room door open and sure enough, the dressing room is trashed, with her clothes in the center, burning in a bonfire. Thinking quickly, Aphrodisia grabs a nearby fire extinguisher and quickly puts out the fire. She then pokes through the charred remains of her clothes, her face contorted with rage. Aphrodisia Jordan: That bastard! Caelan Tyler: Damn, this match was just announced and Heat's already starting with the mind games. Jake Steel: He better hope he's still got BP on his side, shouldn't go pissing off a crazy bitch without another one for back up. Caelan Tyler: Probably not no... The Ice Man versus The Black Phoenix Zach King: The following match is a 'straitjacket' match and is for the Anarchy X Championship! Making her way to the ring first, the challenger, fighting out of New York City, NY… weighing in at 205 pounds... The lights go out as the sound of violins echo through the arena, the 'What it's like to burn' by Finch hammering through the PA. She buuuuuuuuuuuuurns Zach King: THE BLACK PHOENIX! Today's on fire The lights begin to strobe as images of the carnage left in the wake of the Phoenix flashes on the big screen: Like a bad star, I'm falling faster down to her The Black Phoenix appears underneath a spotlight on the turnbuckle as flame explode from the other turnbuckles, the mask looking even more ghoulish as it reflect the light of the fire. She throws her hands in the air as the light come back on with a thunder of pyro on the stage. Today is fire, and she burns The lights fade back up and the music fades as The Black Phoenix drops from the turnbuckle, she rips off her mask and casts her gaze upwards to the straitjacket that is suspended above the ring. Caelan Tyler: Black Phoenix is here, and she looks ready for this match that she earned by winning a battle royal in her very first match in NLW. Jake Steel: The crazy bitch has been on a rampage since she got here, and I wouldn't want to be in Ice Man's boots. Caelan Tyler: I definitely wouldn't count Ice Man out here, for what he lacks in viciousness compared to Black Phoenix he makes up for in size, strength and experience. He's a multiple time Anarchy X champion, and he was never beaten for it, he lost the belt because he didn't have a contract in place in time for the first show. Jake Steel: He's going to need all the help he can get. Blue strobe lights begin flashing in the arena, '10,000 Fists' by Disturbed begins to play and the Ice Man steps out from behind the curtain. He pauses on the stage to take in the cheers and jeers from the thousands in attendance. He slowly makes his way to the ring. He walks up the steps and steps into the ring. He goes to the far turnbuckle and throws his hands into the air, fists clenched. He then hops down and the strobe lights stop as he prepares for the match to begin, taking the Anarchy X championship off from around his waist and handing it to the referee. Zach King: And her opponent, from Portland, Oregon... Weighing in at 275 pounds... He is the Anarchy X Champion... THE ICE MAN! Caelan Tyler: Since this is the first time a straitjacket match has ever occurred in NLW I figure it might be a good idea to explain the rules. The winner of the match is the person who can secure their opponent in the straitjacket that's suspended above the ring. Anything goes as far as getting them into that 'jacket though. Jake Steel: ABUSE! Caelan Tyler: Huh? Jake Steel: This match is going to have plenty of it. Caelan Tyler: That kinda goes without saying Jake. Jake Steel: I'll say it anyways! ABUSE! The bell rings, and the two competitors get in each other's faces, with Ice Man makes a belt type motion at his waist. Black Phoenix shakes her head before delivering a Muay Thai style elbow to the side of Ice Man's head. Ice Man fires back with a right and the two exchange blows until BP catches Ice Man's arm and takes him to the mat with a Japanese arm drag. Ice man quickly pops up, only to be caught by a leg lariat from BP. Caelan Tyler: Black Phoenix taking advantage in the early going here, but she needs to be careful not to waste too much energy, as you're not going to put down someone like Ice Man this quickly. Jake Steel: I'm expecting this to be a train wreck of epic proportions, Ice Man has shown in the past that he's one tough bastard, and Black Phoenix is a psychopathic bitch hell-bent on getting his gold. Caelan Tyler: That toughness is going to play in huge here, as it going to take a long longer than three seconds to get a straitjacket put on someone, not to mention the strength advantage Ice Man has over Black Phoenix, she'll have a much tougher time keeping him still long enough for it than he will with her. Jake Steel: Well she's shown ever since she got here that she always looks for the knockout blow, so I doubt she's even going to try to put that jacket on him until he's out cold. The Black Phoenix slides out of the ring, grabbing one of the ladders that are leaning against the barricade on the outside and starting to slide it into the ring. Thinking quickly, Ice Man drops down onto the edge of the ladder, knocking it flat and jarring the end of it up into BP's chest. Ice Man then yanks the ladder into the ring before sliding out to ringside, trading blows with Black Phoenix. BP cuts him off with a rake to the eyes, then rears back and delivers a boot right to the family jewels! Jake Steel: OUCH! Caelan Tyler: That hurt to watch... Jake Steel: I'm thinking that's sterilization done the hard way... Caelan Tyler: Not sure what more needs to be said there... Ice Man doubles over in pain as BP delivers a knee to his head before backing up. Ice Man drops to his knees as Black Phoenix charges him, delivering a shining wizard that knocks him prone. BP quickly reaches under the ring apron, dragging out a table and lifting it up into the ring. She then puts the boots to Ice Man some more before pulling out another table and setting it up at ringside. Caelan Tyler: Looks like BP is looking for more abuse before trying to grab the straitjacket. Jake Steel: She's not dumb, better to take him out before grabbing the 'jacket so he can't use it on her. Caelan Tyler: True. I don't think I've ever seen anyone take advantage of Ice Man this much this quickly, I'm a bit surprised. Jake Steel: I'm not, she's crazy! As Black Phoenix finishes setting up the table at ringside Ice Man staggers up, causing Black Phoenix to charge him again. This time he's ready, and sends BP flying with a back body drop. She slams into the floor hard, and Ice Man quickly goes to capitalize, whipping her head-first into the steel ring post. There's a sickening thud as BP's head bounces off the steel, and she stumbles over the ring steps, clutching her forehead. Ice Man quickly ascends the stairs to the apron, and as BP turns to face him he leaps off, hitting a crushing lariat! Caelan Tyler: Looks like Ice Man's put himself back into this match. Jake Steel: ABUSE!!! Caelan Tyler: ...Yes yes, there's going to be plenty of that. Jake Steel: First the Vincent Kane beatdown on The Phoenix, then the Draco bleed-a-thon, now this... This has been a good night. Caelan Tyler: Yeah, Joan's done a very good job setting up her first Uprising. Jake Steel: Now if only every week could feature this much brutality I might actually start enjoying my job... Ice Man quickly rolls BP back into the ring, following her in and dragging her to her feet by her hair. He then lifts her up with a press slam, holding her up for several seconds before lowering her onto his shoulders and dropping down, delivering a vicious Samoan press onto the ladder! Black Phoenix writhes in pain as Ice Man rolls her off the ladder and he begins to set it up in the center of the ring. He gets the ladder set up and starts to climb it, and as he nears the top BP gets to her feet and charges the ladder, knocking it over and sending Ice Man flying onto the top rope, where he lands, inadvertently crotching himself while doing so. Caelan Tyler: Black Phoenix showing she's as tough as they come by recovering so quickly from that vicious move on the ladder. Jake Steel: I'm pretty certain in order to keep her down you'd probably have to kill her. Caelan Tyler: Whoa now, I don't think Ice Man will need to go that far... Jake Steel: I'm not so sure, have you ever fought a psycho bitch before? Caelan Tyler: No... Jake Steel: Exactly. Caelan Tyler: And you have? Jake Steel: Yeah, your mom! Caelan Tyler: ... Back in the ring, Black Phoenix quickly folds up the ladder and leans it in one of the corners before pulling Ice Man off of the ropes, delivering stiff elbows to his temple before whipping him into the corner, where he slams into the ladder. Black Phoenix then charges the corner herself, flipping in mid-air and slamming into him with a senton, driving Ice Man's back into the ladder. BP then slides out of the ring and reaches under the apron, pulling out a can of kerosene! Caelan Tyler: Whoa, this can't end well! Jake Steel: WHOO! Haven't had anything burn in NLW in a while. Caelan Tyler: Not since Jack put his foot down about it to Kevin Heat. Jake Steel: Not like Black Phoenix was ever the type to listen to authority figures anyways. Light 'em up BP! Black Phoenix starts to pour kerosene all over the table that she had set up on the outside, and the fans erupt when she pulls out a lighter. She attempts to flick it on, but is cut off by a baseball slide from Ice Man. Ice Man then levels her with a clothesline before picking her up and sliding her into the ring. He reaches under the ring, pulling out a steel chair before sliding back in himself. BP gets back to her feet, and Ice Man drills her with the chair, the steel echoing off her skull. Ice Man then drops the chair and rolls BP onto it before climbing to the top rope and leaping off, crushing her into it with his Avalanche frog splash! Caelan Tyler: Ice Man's punishment on Black Phoenix continues, I'm not sure how much more of that she can withstand. Jake Steel: She's like the Terminator man, she's just going to keep on coming until she's won the match. Caelan Tyler: Not if Ice Man has anything to say about it, and so far he's had quite a lot to say. Jake Steel: It's only a matter of time, resistance is futile. Caelan Tyler: Um, got your references crossed there Jake. Jake Steel: ...Well your mom has her references crossed! Caelan Tyler: Why so I even bother? Ice Man has the ladder set back up, and he starts to climb, eventually reaching the top and unhooking the straitjacket. He lets the 'jacket fall to the mat as he climbs down the ladder, quickly folding it and shoving it out of the way before going to try to put the jacket onto Black Phoenix. By this point Black Phoenix has staggered up to her feet, and she quickly lunges at Ice Man, dropping him with a double leg takedown before mounting and delivering elbows to his head and face. After several elbows BP pulls Ice Man to his feet and positions him with a front facelock before bringing him down onto the chair with a facebreaker DDT! Caelan Tyler: Just like that Black Phoenix has gotten herself right back into this match, although who knows what will happen now that the straitjacket is in play. Jake Steel: I know exactly what will happen Caelan... Violence! Lots of violence! Caelan Tyler: That much is certain yes, it's still anyone's game, as both competitors have absorbed a lot of punishment so far. Jake Steel: Not to mention that fire table on the outside just begging to be used! Caelan Tyler: This is going to be a natural disaster in match form. Jake Steel: Hell, Black Phoenix is a natural disaster in human form. At least, I think she's human... Black Phoenix grabs the straitjacket climbs onto Ice Man's back, wrapping the straitjacket around his throat in an attempt to strangle him. She pulls back, applying as much pressure as she can to Ice Man, who struggles to get up. Ice Man manages to struggle to his feet, with BP hanging on. Thinking quickly, Ice Man charges backwards, slamming BP into the turnbuckles. BP still holds on though, and Ice Man is starting to lose it. Ice Man struggles a bit longer before moving to the center of the ring and dropping back, slamming BP into the ladder! This time BP loosens her grip, and Ice Man gasps for air. Caelan Tyler: Black Phoenix tried to take Ice Man down by choking him out, but it looks like Ice Man put a stop to that, at least temporarily. Jake Steel: Yeah, at this point I think it's pretty safe to say that you don't fuck with that chick. Caelan Tyler: I don't think anyone is going to argue with you there, that was pretty brutal. Quickly recovering, Black Phoenix starts to put the straitjacket onto Ice Man, and manages to get one arm into the jacket before Ice Man comes to and starts to struggle. Undaunted, Black Phoenix pulls Ice Man to his feet and drops him with a reverse STO before leaving him momentarily to set up the table she had brought into the ring. Hitting Ice Man with another elbow to the temple, Black Phoenix rolls him onto the table before climbing the top rope, her gaze fixed on Ice Man. She leaps into the air, looking to hit Beauty that Burns, but Ice Man is able to roll off, and Black Phoenix crashes through the table! Caelan Tyler: Well that backfired... Jake Steel: God damn! Caelan Tyler: This could very well cost BP the match! Jake Steel: No way, this won't stop her. Just a minor setback. Caelan Tyler: Maybe... Ice Man rolls out to ringside, falling down on the protective mat near where BP had dropped her lighter. Ice Man quickly picks up the lighter, taking off the straitjacket and throwing it into the ring. Quickly flicking on the lighter, Ice Man tosses it onto the table, lighting it ablaze before sliding into the ring. Black Phoenix struggles to her feet, and Ice Man delivers a boot to her gut, lifting her up onto his shoulder and spinning, tossing her over the tope rope through the table with The Ice Pick! The crowd roars upon impact, and stagehands quickly extinguish the fire as Ice Man rolls out of the ring, straitjacket in one hand and the steel chair in the other. Jake Steel: FIRE!!! Jake Steel: Damn, what more could Ice Man do to BP here to keep her down long enough? Caelan Tyler: Who cares? ABUSE!!! Caelan's question is quickly answered as Ice Man tosses the chair down on the mat and lifts Black Phoenix up, hitting her again with an Ice Pick, this time planting her on the cold steel. Ice Man quickly puts the straitjacket on Black Phoenix, with the referee calling for the bell as he tightens the straps on the back. Zach King: Here is your winner and STILL Anarchy X champion... THE ICE MAN! Caelan Tyler: Well I guess now we know what it takes to stop a crazy bitch like Black Phoenix in her tracks... Caelan Tyler: Lots tables and liberal use of a chair and fire? Caelan Tyler: Well yeah if you want to be technical about it... I was just going to say ABUSE!!! The referee hands the Anarchy X championship to The Ice Man as several stage hands move to remove the straitjacket from The Black Phoenix. Ice Man holds the title up in the air. Caelan Tyler: Well, we're out of time folks, see you next Uprising!
