OWF FAREWELL TOUR - SHOW 1
SHOCK AND TERROR
November 7th, 2009
The Scotiabank Palace
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

The cameras cut backstage to the locker room of current OWF Caribbean Champion and NLW Legacy Champion Ray Lopes- who brings about a huge response from the sold out crowd in the Scotiabank Palace. As the camera rolls to its left, Ray Lopes comes into sight sitting on a wooden bench while currently polishing his NLW Title. The OWF Caribbean title sits next to him, looking as good as new with a dirty rag laying on the floor near Ray's feet. He seems subdued relaxing in his locker room, when he is jolted by the locker room door opening across the room. A voice chimes in..

Jesse Williams - Ray...

Lopes looks up, and in shock hops up to the balls of his feet while discarding the belt to the bench on his left side. He gets eye to eye with Williams as he enters and approaches Ray, drawing a loud negative reaction from those inside of the arena. Both men hear the crowd as Jesse ignores it, but Ray makes mention of it.

Ray Lopes - What's that? I couldn't hear you over the sounds of wretching and dry heaving from inside the arena.
A general snicker rises from the crowd, as they watch on the OWF Tron set up above the stage. Williams smiles back at Ray.

Jesse Williams - Good one, Ray. But, I actually didn't come in here to trade insults.

Ray Lopes - So why are you here, then?

Jesse Williams - I just want to say, I'm sorry NLW screwed you like it did at the Halloween Uprising. Real bummer for both of us, you know? In my return I get humiliated, and in The Phoenix's you do. Just wanted to tell you that I'd be pissed if I were you.

Jesse turns around to leave, but has his right arm grabbed by Lopes.

Ray Lopes - What are you talking about? I wasn't screwed, and I'm not pissed. I signed up willingly for any opponent, as did you.

Williams spins to face Ray, and looks him right in the eye.

Jesse Williams - I'm glad if you feel that way, but I mean the proof is in the pudding.

Ray Lopes - I don't know what you're talking about, but it's pissing me off.

Jesse Williams - Listen Ray, look at your last two matches. Loss against the departing Josh Allen. Loss against the returning Phoenix. Do you really think you're going to get a fair shake in that place, when it's obvious they plan to bury any OWF talent who walks their way?

Ray looks down at the floor in reflection, then just as quickly lifts his head back up.

Ray Lopes - Then how did you succeed?

Jesse Williams - Well lets be honest, Ray- you don't have the talent I do. But I'm getting sidetracked from my point...

Ray Lopes - ...I'm waiting.

Jesse Williams - I'm hoping that when High Voltage rolls around, you really come at me with everything we've been dying to see from you for years. I want you to know that nothing is set in stone outside of this match- and you had better make the most of it. You've been made to look like a fool in NLW, so keep that in mind when the bell rings on November 28th- because when this tour ends, and you go back there, you're only going to be more frowned upon as an OWF outcast.

Williams pulls his arm free and steps backward, still looking at Ray.

Jesse Williams - But don't take my word for it, just you wait and see. I'll be there to witness it first hand, and I'll let it begin at High Voltage.

And as his words end, Williams darts from the room with a deafening roar of boo's kicking in. Ray remains in his locker room, looking back down at his Championship belts right before we cut back to the announcers booth.

Falcoon - Jesse had some strong words for Ray.

Burst - I like this from the mexican. He's not catering to these morons out here, and he's telling it like it is.

Kissens - That NLW is screwing Ray?

Burst - NLW? No, that Ray Lopes isn't Jesse Williams.

Falcoon - Not in Jesse's eyes, but in the eyes of some this is quite the even match up scheduled for High Voltage.

Kissens - I think Jesse is just playing mind games, y'all.

Falcoon - I suppose he's trying to worry Lopes.-

Burst - How? He wants Ray at his best.

Falcoon - There's more to this than what it seems…

The scene switches to Ray who’s in his living room back home in Los Angeles, watching the replay of OWF’s Shock and Terror and the exchange between him and his former friend/future opponent Jesse Williams. Enter Ray’s best friend Fred.

Fred – You know he’s right!

Ray turns away from the TV and looks at Fred as he takes a seat.

Ray – What are you talking about?

Fred – Jesse, what he said, the NLW is trying to make you look like a fool! You think it’s a coincidence they throw you in a match with Josh Allen just so he can go out on top against a big name?

Ray – No, when I signed to NLW part of the conditions was that I was going to get a title shot.

Fred – Okay and what about the Phoenix?

Ray – What about him?

Fred – You don’t think that’s bullshit they book you in a match against some mystery masked opponent that turns out to be him?

Ray – I was surprised that it was him, but I knew when I agreed to take part of the Halloween show I could get booked against anybody!

Fred – You’re not being real Ray! That was bullshit NLW booking you against him, he had you scouted while you had no idea who the fuck you were going to be up against. That’s twice now you’ve been thrown in the ring against two NLW stalwarts and you can say you agreed to take on anybody all you want, but I guarantee that both Phoenix and Allen knew they were going to be going up against you well in advance.

Ray lets Fred’s words marinate.

Fred – And now to add insult to injury they book you against Drake Munday…DRAKE MUNDAY! Think about that for a second Ray, right now seeing how the NLW title is vacant, you’re the highest ranking champ in NLW and you’re damn near at the bottom of the card facing off against Drake Munday and you don’t think Jesse has a point when he says the NLW is trying to make a fool of you?

Ray – Okay maybe he does have a point, so what?

Fred – So what…SO WHAT?

Ray – Yes, so what? He does have a point, but come on it’s Jesse Williams! You think he came into my locker room to tell me that because he really cares about what’s going on with me? Of course not, Jesse only cares about himself. He obviously has an agenda, he’s just trying to get in my head before we meet at High Voltage for his title. That belt is all he has left to his name right now and even though he’s going to try to act like he’s not worried about facing off against me, he knows I’ve beaten him before and I can very well do it again. So fuck him and whatever he has to say!

Fred – Okay and what about NLW?

Ray – Whether they’re trying to make me look like a fool or not, it doesn’t matter. This Uprising, I’m going to enter that ring and fucking destroy Drake Munday just like I’m expected to! You know I couldn’t help but laugh when Drake said he thought my star is as high as it can possibly go, which in his opinion isn’t that high in the first place.

Fred – Yeah I heard him say that, I was like how the fuck how is somebody with a career record of like two wins and 500 losses going to tell somebody else they’ve peaked already when it’s clear they don’t even know what peaking is!

Ray – Exactly! But you know what that’s alright, I’m starting to get used to my opponents always having the exact same bullshit to say about how I’m overrated or I’ve already peaked or how they’re still waiting for me to reach my potential and blah, blah, blah.

Ray rolls his eyes at the absurdity of those comments.

Ray - It doesn’t matter who’s mouth it comes from whether it be Drake Munday or Jesse Williams, it’s the same redundant bullshit that spews from their mouths. I guess I’m supposed to give a fuck what either of those two think about me and my career!

Fred – You shouldn’t!

Ray – And I don’t! At least with Jesse he’s actually accomplished a thing or two and he’s not a complete joke, but Drake on the other hand, he deserves a Chad Ochocinco, “Chile Please!”

Fred laughs as Ray grabs the remote and turns off the TV.

Ray – He needs to reach a peak before he can talk about somebody else already reaching there’s! I’ve watched Drake for the last year or so in OWF and he hasn’t improved much at all. Folks compare him to Jesse when he first started out, but even Jesse had a few significant wins under his belt when he was starting out. Drake is still looking for some and it’s not going to be at my expense that much I guarantee.

Ray tosses the remote to the side.

Ray - I know you and Jesse Williams and probably a couple others think that I was embarrassed in my last two matches against Josh Allen and the Phoenix, I’m not sure I agree, regardless it won’t be three matches in a row.

Fred – This will be a good warm up match for you before you face off against Williams in OWF at High Voltage.

Ray – Yeah, but I don’t want to get too ahead of myself. I’ll take care of Jess when it’s time to take care of him, right now it’s Drake’s turn. I feel like I got something to prove, I got all these haters taking shots at me.

Fred – Well, that’s how you know you’re doing alright when your name is always coming out of everybody’s mouth!

Ray – I guess I’m doing pretty well then because it’s been coming out of a lot of people’s mouths lately.

Ray chuckles.

Ray – Anyways man, are you hungry?

Fred – I’m starving!

Ray – Come on, let’s go get something to eat.

Ray motions towards the door and stands up, Fred follows suit.

Fred – Where we going?

Ray – I don’t know what do you feel like eating?

Fred – How about that one pub that has those really good fish and chips?

Ray cringes at the suggestion.

Ray – Umm think of something else, I don’t want that British crap!

Fred laughs.

Fred – Okay.

They walk out the door as the scene fades.
